Jordan Davis, Travon Walker and Devonte Wyatt formed one of he most formidable defensive fronts in college football history last season on the way to a national championship, and now the trio is preparing for the NFL Draft. The former stars returned to Athens, Georgia on Saturday for the G-Day spring game and received their championship rings in the process.

During Georgia’s G-Day spring game, the ESPN2 broadcast cut to the sideline, where Jordan Davis, Travon Walker and Devonte Wyatt spoke with Katie George about their championship rings and the NFL Draft process.

Davis started things off by speaking about his championship ring, commenting on how good it feels to put it on.

“It’s beautiful,” said Davis. “We designed it ourselves, the seniors, so we knew what we were getting into. But it’s even beautiful in person. It looks a lot different from the mock ups. We love it, this is our baby right here.”

He then went on to do his best Thanos impression while putting the ring on his finger.

Devonte Wyatt then broke down what it means for him to return to the stadium after spending the past few months in NFL Draft preparation.

“It’s amazing,” said Wyatt. “I ain’t been here in a minute, first time I’ve been in here in some months. Just being here, I feel the energy, I feel like getting back on the field. Just missing – just watching them out here on the field makes me want to go out there right now and have fun with them. But definitely, it’s amazing to be back.”

Georgia stars prepare for NFL Draft

The three defensive lineman all declared for the 2022 NFL Draft after winning the national championship and have continued to rise up boards ever since. Perhaps no one has raised their stock more since the end of the season that Travon Walker, who put up great numbers at the NFL Combine to thrust himself into the conversation for the No. 1 overall pick.

He spoke about the NFL Draft preparation live from the sideline of Georgia’s spring game with ESPN’s Katie George.

“It’s been a great experience,” said Walker. “Very tiring, a lot’s been put into it that a lot of people don’t see. But it’s something that you’ll always remember and you’ll never be able to get that moment back so just take it all in.”

Jordan Davis also shocked scouts with his NFL Combine numbers. He spoke about the surprise performance as well.

“It’s wonderful,” said Davis. “There’s things you dream about as a kid that you want to do so anything that we do is like a dream come true for me. That’s how I look at it, that’s my outlook. But you just keep working and continue to work and just enjoy life. You’ve got to be where your feet are.”

George then joked with Davis that he looked slimmer in his all-black outfit, and he had a response for her and Wyatt. “Y’all so flattering,” he said.
