No program has had Carrollton (Ga.) five-star quarterback Julian Lewis on campus more than Georgia. The USC commit is once again back in Athens for his latest visit with the Bulldogs on Thursday.

After taking plenty of game visits to Athens last fall, Lewis has already made multiple trips back to the in-state program in 2024. While he remains pledged to the Trojans, Lewis continues to feel like a priority for Kirby Smart and the UGA staff.

“What stands out about Georgia is the stability,” Lewis told On3 last month. “You know what they are and what they are going to be. Kirby Smart is straight-forward and I have great relationships with Coach Bobo, Coach VanGorder and Coach McGee. Georgia has been consistent, I feel wanted and they like my ability in the program. What always stands out at Georgia is the guys they have on the roster. They always have dudes there.”

Georgia is the second of five scheduled spring stops for Lewis. He made his way back to Tuscaloosa to visit Alabama last week and still has trips to Auburn (March 16), Colorado (March 22) and USC (March 30) on the horizon.

“I still feel really good about USC and my commitment, but things change so fast in college football these days, so you want to keep relationships and take visits,” Lewis told On3. “You never know how things end up, but my commitment to USC is still strong and I like what (head) coach (Lincoln) Riley is doing with the staff and the program as they go into the Big Ten.”

Earlier this week on ‘The Inside Scoop’, Georgia recruiting insider Jake Rowe made it clear that Lewis is one of two main options on the Bulldogs’ QB board this cycle — alongside four-star QB Matt Zollers. Smart, Mike Bobo and Co. are keeping the foot on the gas to try and land the No. 9 overall prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking.

“I do know this: if you were to get inside the minds of the Georgia coaches that are involved in (Zoller’s) recruitment and involved in the recruitment of Juju Lewis, I think the gap between those two is miniscule. I think the Bulldogs really love both guys,” Rowe told On3’s Josh Newberg.

“It could be a first-come type of situation, it could be one of those deals where Georgia’s able to make something happen as soon as one makes a decision. But right now, I would lean heavily towards Georgia getting one of them.”

Georgia Class Breakdown

The Bulldogs have five commitments early on in the cycle but already sit at No. 3 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Of Georgia’s five commitments, two project to the offensive side of the ball and three are expected to play defense at the next level. Five-star defensive lineman Justus Terry of Manchester (Ga.) ranks highest among the group, checking in at No. 8 nationally.

Along with Terry, tight end Elyiss Williams and linebacker Jadon Perlotte rank among the top 100 prospects in the country. And all five current commits hail from the Peach State, with an average distance from Athens of just 98.2 miles.
