Irvington (N.J.) three-star wide receiver Nasir Addison committed to Kentucky on Saturday. The 6-foot-2, 181 pound prospect chose the Wildcats over programs including Cincinnati, Florida State, Michigan State and Ole Miss.

Addison is the No. 1,260 overall prospect and No. 190 wide receiver in the 2023 On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 24 player in New Jersey.

His commitment comes one day after his teammate, three-star wide receiver Famah Toure, announced his pledge to Rutgers.

How Addison impacts Kentucky’s 2023 class

Addison joins a Kentucky class that is currently rated No. 33 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings. The Wildcats’ group also ranks No. 8 in the SEC.

The former Maryland commit is Kentucky’s first 2023 pledge from New Jersey. He is also the group’s fourth wide receiver commit alongside Nashville (Tenn.) Ensworth four-star Shamar Porter, Springfield (Ohio) four-star Anthony Brown and Louisville (Ky.) Pleasure Ridge Park’s Jakob Dixon, who is ranked as a three-star by On3.

Both Brown and Porter are top-400 prospects in the On3 Consensus. They are also two of Kentucky’s top three 2023 recruits. The other is Montgomery (Ala.) Alabama Christian Academy four-star safety Avery Stuart.

Nasir Addison Recruiting Profile

Addison took only two unofficial visits during his recruiting process. One was to the Wildcats on April 8 and the other was to Notre Dame on April 9. He did not receive an offer from the Fighting Irish.

The wideout received a total of 14 offers. Other schools that offered Addison include Boston College, Duke, Georgia Tech, Massachusetts, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Temple and Virginia.

Addison has an On3 NIL Valuation of $6K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
