Kentucky defensive back Jaremiah Anglin has entered the NCAA transfer portal, according to On3’s Pete Nakos.

Anglin parts ways with the Wildcats’ program after spending just one season in Lexington, redshirting last season in a year where he didn’t receive any playing time. Suffering an injury that required knee surgery last summer that sidelined him for the entire season.

Anglin played high school football at Lake Wales High School in Florida where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 445 overall recruit and the No. 44 safety in the 2023 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

He had a standout performance in Kentucky’s spring game just a few weeks after being cleared from injury, playing superb coverage throughout the game before returning an interception for a touchdown to close out the game. But now he’ll also return to being a recruit as he enters the portal with four seasons of eligibility.

“He’s really just coming back off injury,” Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops said. “When we get back to full tilt, we’re pretty deep at that position, so he’s pretty down the depth chart, but it’s been hard for us because he’s been injured. He’s been injured a lot and really just getting back out there.”

Kentucky’s depth at defensive back surely could have played an impact on Anglin’s decision. Becoming the seventh player to enter the transfer portal for Kentucky this offseason following spring practice and the 21st overall this offseason.

Kentucky WR Shamar Porter re-enters the NCAA Transfer Portal

Shamar Porter looks to be leaving Kentucky for good this time after re-entering his name into the transfer portal.

Porter, who just finished his first and only season in Lexington, entered the portal as a freshman back in December. However, after less than a weekhe withdrew his name. Now, after looking like he’d be back as a redshirt freshman, he is again set to transfer from the bluegrass.

Porter did not record any receiving statistics this season with the Wildcats.

Porter, a native of Nashville, Tennessee, played high school football at Ensworth. He was a four-star prospect there as the No. 285 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle. That’s according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranked as the No. 40 WR too as well as the No. 5 player out of his state.
