On Monday afternoon, news broke that Marion (Ark.) four-star interior offensive lineman Carius Curne decommitted from Arkansas.

The top-ranked player in the state was pledged to the Razorbacks for less than two months and was one of two four-star prospects to back off a pledge to Sam Pittman and Co. on Monday. Immediately, Curne began to trend to another SEC program.

LSU has crushed the recruiting trail so far in the 2025 cycle, and Curne could become the latest big name to join the fold. The 6-foot-5, 288-pound lineman was in Baton Rouge over the weekend, and the Tigers clearly made some sort of impression, as Curne is already back on the board.

LSU insiders Shea Dixon and Billy Embody each logged picks in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) in favor of the Tigers directly after Curne decommitted. LSU now sits with a 96.5% edge and looks to be in the driver’s seat.

“I have decided to de-commit from the University of Arkansas,” Curne wrote in his announcement posted to social media. “I have the utmost respect for the coaching staff and appreciate their hard work during my recruitment. I hope that everyone will respect my decision as I attempt to do what is best for me and my family.”

Curne is the No. 138 overall prospect and No. 7 IOL in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the top-ranked player in Arkansas.

On3 ranks Curne higher than other recruiting services. He checks in at No. 85 overall and No. 5 at his position in the 2025 On300.

Tigers looking to add another blue-chip lineman to 2025 class

LSU’s 2025 class is already impressive at nearly every position, including offensive line. Three interior linemen are already pledged to Brian Kelly, Brad Davis and the Tigers.

Laurel (Miss.) four-star Tyler Miller is the top-ranked IOL in the 2025 On300 and is the latest to join the fold, as he committed on March 17. He’s flanked by Shreveport (La.) Calvary Baptist four-star Devin Harper and New Orleans Isidore Newman four-star Brett Bordelon. Harper is also a top-100 recruit in the On300.

“I feel like I’m the closest to Coach Brad (Davis),” Miller told On3 upon his commitment. “That’s a person I give a lot of respect to and his hustle and his grind is amazing. My relationship with the coaching staff is family and their plan for me is having a good chance of making an impact as soon as I step on campus, but I have to work everyday and nothing is going to be given to me.”

LSU’s class ranks No. 2 in the nation in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings and is battling with Ohio State for the top spot. The Tigers currently posses 11 blue-chip commitments, headlined by No. 1 prospect and Five-Star Plus+ QB Bryce Underwood, Five-Star Plus+ wide receiver Dakorien Moore and five-star running back Harlem Berry.
