Personal Life

It’s hard to miss Tyler Miller on the football field. He's 6-foot-5 and weighs more than 300 pounds. But his high school coach, Ryan Earnest, says he stands out for more than his size. “His size, his strength and he’s just freakishly athletic," Earnest said. "He presents some problems for people on the other side of the ball. Ever since we got him as an eighth-grader, he’s always been a very reserved, mild-mannered kid. As he’s gotten older, he’s gotten a little more comfortable because his stature and personality just command the room, but that’s the thing I have been most impressed by. Even with all the attention that’s come with being a national recruit, he’s just kind of taking it all in stride, always focusing on the next practice or the next workout. He’s enjoying it, but I think he’s enjoying it in a manner that he’s comfortable with.”
