Another talented player from one of the top programs in college football is opting to find a new home for the 2024 season. On Monday, On3 learned that Michigan State Spartans running back Davion Primm entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal.

Primm played high school football at Oak Park High School in Oak Park, MI. According to the On3 industry ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, he was a three-star prospect and the No. 985 overall recruit in the 2021 cycle. Primm ranked 74 among running backs and was the 28th-best player to come out of the state of Michigan during the 2021 recruiting cycle. He had a recruit grade of 84.1.

Primm rarely saw the field during his three years at Michigan State. The junior running back has only appeared in nine games, eight of which came in 2023. Primm has carried the ball just seven times for 18 yards karma, averaging 2.6 yards per carry. He now enters the transfer portal in search of a program where there is ample opportunity for him to compete for a spot in their rotation.
