Despite his commitment to LSU last August, Duncanville (Texas) Five-Star Plus+ wide receiver Dakorien Moore has kept his recruitment open.

Moving into the spring, three programs emerged as legitimate threats to flip the 5-foot-11, 175-pounder from the Tigers. Ohio State is in that trio, and the Buckeyes got Moore back to Columbus this weekend for his second visit this year.

Moore is the No. 3 overall prospect and top-ranked wideout in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 1 player in Texas.

Earlier this month, Moore caught up with On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons to update his recruitment. He remains solid with LSU, but Ohio State, along with Oregon and Texas, are pushing hard. For the Buckeyes, WRs coach Brian Hartline is giving Moore plenty to think about.

“Hartline done produced the best, you can’t go wrong with what that shows. When I went there I talked to the players, talked to him and they all said the same thing, you’ve got to trust Hartline,’” Moore said.

“I’ve seen their practice, seen the athletes that they have, seen the wide receiver room — twos and threes all looking the same. They’re all out there grinding the same way and they’re all out there making plays. It looks like a real program.”

OSU currently possesses the No. 1 recruiting class in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Three top-15 overall prospects are pledged to Ryan Day and Co.: Five-Star Plus+ cornerback Devin Sanchez, Five-Star Plus+ CB Na’eem Offord and five-star quarterback Tavien St. Clair. A potential flip of Moore would likely cement the class as the best in the country.

Pulling off said flip won’t be an easy task, however. Moore has made it known that the trust in LSU is still there and he sees the vision in Baton Rouge. The Tigers are right behind Ohio State with the No. 2 class in the nation, which is headlined by a commitment from Five-Star Plus+ QB Bryce Underwood, the No. 1 recruit in the cycle.

“It’s always been home, man,” he said of LSU. “When I committed there from the start it was just the relationships that I built there. It was real genuine and I feel like I can trust them in the moment and stuff like that. That, on top of them being wide receiver U, they were producing some of the best wide receivers that’s in the league right now.”

Moore is planning to take official visits to all four schools before coming to a final decision. Ohio State will continue applying pressure in hopes of bringing yet another top-ranked wide receiver to Columbus.
