Oklahoma transfer quarterback Dillon Gabriel has committed to play for Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks. One of the top available players in the NCAA transfer portal, Oregon will move on from the Bo Nix era with another veteran signal-caller in Gabriel.

According to the On3 Transfer Industry Rankings, Gabriel is the No. 8 overall player to enter this cycle. Only former Washington State quarterback Cam Ward, who is currently uncommitted, is ranked higher than Gabriel.

Committing to Oregon makes it a third school for Gabriel throughout his career. Everything began at UCF before entering the portal the first time. Originally heading to UCLA, Oklahoma and former OC Jeff Lebby was able to bring him to Norman for two seasons.

Gabriel played in 12 games during the 2023 season, completing just over 69% of his passes. He threw for 3,660 yards, 20 touchdowns, and just six interceptions. Lanning will have another mobile quarterback on his hands as well, with Gabriel adding 373 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns to the stat sheet.

All of those stats are career highs for Gabriel.
