Louisville transfer WR Ahmari Huggins-Bruce commits to South Carolina

Louisville transfer wide receiver Ahmari Huggins-Bruce has committed to South Carolina, he announced via social media. He entered the transfer portal Dec. 30 after three years with the Cardinals.

Huggins-Bruce previously told On3’s Pete Nakos of his plans to enter the portal following a solid season with Louisville. He hauled in 20 receptions for 312 yards and four touchdowns while adding a career-high 48 rushing yards and a touchdown as the Cardinals made a run to the ACC Championship. His biggest statistical season came as a freshman in 2021 when he had 444 receiving yards and four touchdowns.

On the whole, Huggins-Bruce had 80 receptions for 1,121 yards and 10 touchdowns over his 36 games during his time in Louisville.

Ahmari Huggins-Bruce played high school football at Dillon (S.C.), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 580 overall recruit in the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
