Texas A&M is having a day.

Missouri City (Texas) Fort Bend four-star wide receiver Chris Marshall has committed to the Aggies while visiting College Station, Texas. His commitment came almost simultaneously with Walter Nolen‘s commitment.

Marshall is the No. 79 overall player in the 2022 class according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

On3 ranks him even higher as the No. 64 prospect in the 2022 On300 rankings.

The commitments of Chris Marshall and Walter Nolen, who is a Five Star Plus+ prospect and the second overall recruit in the country, marks one of the top single-day recruiting coups this cycle. It is not everyday you get one top-100 prospect commitment, let alone two.

Chris Marshall joins an elite recruiting class

Texas A&M entered Saturday as the No. 9 team in the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Ranking. However, the two commitments will see the team jump in-state rival Texas.

Chris Marshall becomes the third pass catcher to commit to the Aggies after League City (Texas) Clear Springs four-star wide receiver Noah Thomas and Dickinson (Texas) four-star tight end Donovan Green.

He is also the seventh top-100 commit in the 2022 class for Texas A&M. The other six are Nolen, Beaumont (Texas) West Brook five-star athlete Bryce Anderson, Bainbridge (Ga.) Bainbridge four-star athlete Deyon Bouie, Katy (Texas) High four-star EDGE Malick Sylla, Bridgeland (Cypress, TX) five-star quarterback Conner Weigman and Dickinson (Texas) four-star offensive tackle PJ Williams.

Texas A&M is not done either on the trail.

Nolen and Marshall are two of many top prospects at Kyle Field on Saturday for the Aggies game against Auburn.

Five-star wideout Evan Stewart, the No. 3 overall player in the On3 Consensus, is at the game. On3’s Chad Simmons reported earlier in the week that A&M is battling the Longhorns for his signature.

Other top uncommitted prospects at the game include Duncanville (Texas) four-star EDGE Omari Abor, Humble (Texas) Atascocita four-star offensive tackle Kam Dewberry and Allen (Texas) High 2023 five-star defensive lineman David Hicks.
