As a Recruit
Malick Sylla is one of more imposing prospects you will find anywhere. His 85-inch wingspan places him among the top 1% in the country. Sylla missed games in each of his final two years of high school, sustaining an injury that sidelined him late in his junior year which kept him out of Katy’s state championship run then an academic hiccup forced him out of action for three weeks as a senior. Yet, he is a force whenever he plays. He chose Texas A&M over Alabama and others. High school teammate, Bobby Taylor, a cornerback, also pledged to the Aggies. He lists video games as his hobby. His parents are Khadim and Fatou.
