Texas has a game Saturday against No. 13 Kansas State. Before it, Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian decided to join offensive coordinator and offensive line coach Kyle Flood on the recruiting trail.
The two are attending a district championship game between Melissa (Texas) and Lovejoy (Texas). Melissa three-star offensive tackle Trevor Goosby is currently committed to the Longhorns.
Goosby is the No. 510 overall prospect and No. 35 offensive tackle in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 83 player in Texas.
On3 rates Goosby higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Even though he is not rated in the 2023 On300, Goosby is the No. 29 offensive tackle and No. 68 player in Texas.

Texas’ 2023 recruiting class is currently No. 7 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Rankings and No. 2 in the Big 12. The group is led by New Orleans (La.) Isidore Newman Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Arch Manning, the No. 1 overall prospect in the On3 Consensus.
Last week, Sarkisian was in Arizona with tight ends coach Jeff Banks to watch Phoenix (Ariz.) Pinnacle five-star tight end Duce Robinson. The talented pass catcher is taking an official visit to Austin on the weekend of Nov. 12.
