With USC’s season underway, the biggest question remaining for the Trojans to start the season is the status of one Bronny James. However, at this point, Andy Enfield has nothing he feels that he should say about the matter.

Enfield answered a question about James’ status after his team’s second win, an 85-59 victory over CSU Bakersfield, on Thursday night. He felt that, considering all things, it still wasn’t up to him to say anything regarding the health of his star freshman.

“I can’t really comment on that. That’s not my place to do that right now,” said Enfield.

James, the famed son of LeBron James, is a former four-star and Top-25 prospect out of Sierra Canyon, which is just up the road from USC.

However, before his freshman season could start, James had a scare in the form of a sudden cardiac arrest, caused by a congenital heart defect, back in July. Since then, little has been shared regarding his eventual debut besides the fact that he does plan to take the floor at some point this season.

For now, USC is 2-0 with a 13-point win over Kansas State and the 26-point victory over the Roadrunners under their belt. That, along with James’ health, is all that matters until they all make the decision to bring him and officially add him into their exciting equation.

“The family will come out with a statement when the time is right. But Bronny is a big part of our team,” said Enfield.

Bronny James’ officially licensed jersey now sold at Dicks Sporting Goods

USC’s Bronny James is unlike any college basketball player we may ever see.

Not many 19-year-olds star in Fast & Furious franchise advertisements or appear in Beats by Dre commercials before high school graduation.

The oldest son of NBA superstar LeBron James has 13.5 million followers and growing on social media and NIL deals with PSD Underwear, Nike and others. Klutch Sports Group – the sports agency founded by sports agent Rich Paul – also signed James to an NIL representation contract.

Now that the college basketball season has tipped off and James is a part of the Trojans’ roster, we’re seeing another example of the power of James’ NIL brand.

Nike released James’ officially licensed Trojans basketball jersey last week.

Nike has James’ jersey in both home and away colorways, which retail at $90 at Dick’s Sporting Goods. The jerseys feature his name and No. 6 on the back. The release comes after James’ official Nike short-sleeved T-shirt quickly sold out in September.

It’s a rare territory only for the top college basketball players with massive followings. Iowa’s Caitlin ClarkUConn’s Paige Bueckers, and USC’s Juju Watkins also have their Nike NIL jerseys for sale at Dick’s.
