Boise State transfer Chibuzo Agbo committed to USC, according to a report from Jeff Goodman of The Field of 68.

Agbo played the last two seasons at Boise State following his first two years at Texas Tech. He set a career high in points in 2023-24 with the Broncos.

This past year, Agbo averaged 13.7 points per game, 5.1 rebounds per game, 0.8 assists per game, shot 45.2% from the floor and 40.9% from three-point range.

Over the course of his career, Agbo averaged 8.7 points per game, 3.3 rebounds, 0.5 assists, shot 42.5% from the floor and 39% from three-point range.

As a member of the Class of 2020, Agbo was a four-star recruit out of San Diego (Calif.) St. Augustine, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Eric Musselman reveals expectations for USC in 2024-25

New head coach Eric Musselman expects a lot of effort out of his players, and that’ll include Agbo this coming season.

“I think the biggest thing is that our team plays for 40 minutes,” said Musselman. “I look back at the last nine years that we’ve been involved in college basketball; we’ve had some of the greatest comebacks in the history of college basketball. Down 22 and continuing to compete. And I think that it’s going to start in the summer with our guys, them understanding the expectations of playing for 40 minutes. Whether we’re up, whether we’re down.

“Then having the belief that regardless of the score or regardless of the time on the clock, what would seem impossible, there are a lot of ways to win basketball games when the odds are against you. So, I would say we want to play for 40 minutes.”

Agbo has the ability to fit Musselman’s system. The new-look Trojans will certainly be a team to watch in the new-look Big Ten next season.
