USC forward and former top-60 recruit Arrinten Page has entered the transfer portal following one season as a Trojan, On3 has learned.

Page averaged just over three points per game across 27 contests this season for USC, also grabbing roughly two rebounds per game for the team as well. Now, after just one year at SoCal and amidst a coaching change, Page will evaluate his options in the portal.

The 6’9 rookie initially committed to Andy Enfield’s USC and played his first year under him before an interesting development this offseason. Enfield wound up leaving the Trojans for what would appear to be a step down to most college hoops fans, landing at SMU. Sure, the Mustangs are joining the ACC, a historically strong hoops conference. But still, SMU doesn’t offer the history or resources of a USC, you’d think.

Either way, USC was launched into an expected coaching search and really hit a home run with Arkansas Eric Musselman, who suffered a down season with the Hogs this year but had been to two Elite Eights and a Sweet 16 in the three years prior.

Perhaps Musselman will try to convince Page to ultimately return to the team, or maybe they’ll just go their separate ways — in which case, Page could be a sought-after addition even after a forgettable first season.

Because, out of high school, he was rated the No. 57 overall prospect in the 2023 class per the On3 Industry Rankings. He was also slotted as the No. 6 center and No. 5 player out of Georgia for his cycle.

Bronny James also enters portal

Another touted USC freshman, Bronny James, has officially entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3 learned this week. James entered the portal following the departure of Trojans coach Andy Enfield for SMU, and he also entered his name into the 2024 NBA Draft while maintaining his eligibility.

James appeared in 25 games this year, including six starts, after missing the start of the season as he recovered from cardiac arrest over the offseason. The son of LeBron James, Bronny averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 steal during his time at USC.

“I’ve had a year with some ups and downs but all added to growth for me as a man, student and athlete,” James wrote in his Instagram post. “I’ve made the decision to enter the NBA Draft while maintaining my college eligibility, and will also be entering the NCAA transfer portal. Thank you to USC for an amazing freshman year, and as always thankful for my family, friends, doctors, athletic trainers and fans for their support.”

James arrived on campus as a highly touted recruit. A four-star prospect, he was the No. 25 overall prospect from the 2023 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. On3 was the only service to rank James as a five-star.
