Personal Life
Belle Smith was a do-it-all star coming out of Westhampton Beach (New York) High School in 2020. She racked up more than 1,700 points in basketball, received all-state honors in volleyball, was a three-time All-America lacrosse player and was considered the No. 1 recruit in the country. At Boston College, she made an instant impact in 2021. She was a Consensus All-American, ACC Rookie of the Year, an All-ACC pick, and was selected to the NCAA All-Tournament Team. Smith set the BC single-season freshman record for points (65) and goals (47) and played a key role in helping the Eagles win the national championship. Then as a sophomore, Smith was recognized again on almost every major All-America list and All-ACC team. Smith was third on the team with a personal-high 55 goals, while her 28 assists were second and also a career best. Smith also earned a silver medal with Team USA at the 2022 World Games. Her sisters, Alexa and Caitlin, played lacrosse at Monmouth and Denver. Smith has been active through NIL, striking a deal with Boston Motor Sports, STX Women’s Lacrosse and others. She’s also launched her own website, Belle5Lacrosse, to help market herself.
