Chase Elzey

I am a football player and track athlete from Redwood City, California. I am currently a sophomore (Class of 2029) playing as a running back and kick returner for the varsity boys football team at Archbishop Riordan High School. I have been playing tackle football since I was 8 years old and have been running track competitively since my freshman year. In March of 2026, I received my first NCAA Division 1 scholarship offer from the University of Nevada, Reno and am recognized by recruiting platforms like Prep Redzone as a highly skilled rising prospect in Northern California. As a true freshman I played on Varsity and contributed heavily to one of California's top programs, recording 352 rushing yards, 32 receiving yards, and 1 touchdown. I helped lead the Crusaders to the CCS Open Division Championship and the CIF NorCal Regional Division 1-AA Final. As a Track athlete, my freshman year I ran a 11.33-second 100m and 23.55-second 200m, making me Riordan's fastest freshman in the 100m since 1999 and the second-fastest freshman in WCAL history. I was also on the JV 4x100m team, and we currently hold the Riordan and WCAL Freshmen/Sophomore 4x100m relay record (43.27). During the Rivals combine in March of 2026, I ran a 4.50 laser forty yard dash. I am also a Weight room junkie. In August of 2026 I maxed out on a 250 lb bench press, a 205 lb incline bench (3 reps), and a 425 lb hexbar deadlift. I am multi-racial. My dad is African American and Korean and is a 28 year retired law enforcement officer. My mom is German and Indonesian and is a stay-at-home mom. My sister is a junior at Boise State University and my two dogs. They all support me and my journey 100 percent. In my spare time, I enjoy working out and hanging with my family and friends.
