Diamond Johnson was named the ACC Sixth Player of the Year after the 2021-2022 season at NC State. Johnson was also a 2022 Nancy Lieberman Award Top 10 finalist. She played in all 36 games for the Pack, averaging 10.8 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.3 steals while playing 22 minutes a game. She transferred to NC State after the 2020-2021 season at Rutgers. During her freshman season at Rutgers, she was a second-team All-Big Ten selection. She averaged 17.6 points for the Scarlet Knights. Coming out of high school, Johnson was ranked as the No. 6 recruit and a five-star prospect.
