As a Recruit
Kingsley Enagbare was a consensus four-star recruit coming out of Atlanta Hapeville Charter. He was named his class’ defensive player of the year and earned all-state honors. He enrolled early at South Carolina and played in 12 games as a true freshman. He played in 12 games again as a sophomore in 12, making his first start against Charleston Southern. He had an All-SEC junior season in 2020, leading the team with 6.0 sacks in eight games. For his senior season, Enagbare changed his jersey number from 52 to 1. Enagbare’s nickname is J.J. His mother gave it to him when he was a child because of his fondness for the television program “JJ the Jet Plane.” Enagbare graduated from South Carolina in May 2021 with a degree in retail management.
