Nelson Coleman

I am a 2028 cornerback entering my sophomore year at Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School, a nationally ranked football program. I have been playing the game since the age of 6, and from early on I developed a passion for mastering the technical side of my position. My coaches consistently describe me as a technician, and I take pride in being fundamentally sound, with sharp and intentional footwork, and in always approaching the game as a student. I dedicate time year-round with trainers and coaches to refine my skills, going beyond team practices to ensure I am constantly improving. On the field, I am an extremely coachable player who leads by example. While I may not always be the most vocal, I work hard, celebrate my teammates’ successes, and take feedback seriously because I know that is what helps me grow. This work ethic has been recognized through both team and individual honors, including: 2023 Western Hills All-Conference Defense Honorable Mention, 2023 Prep Redzone Pennsylvania overall rank of #30 and position rank of #2 in my class, 2023 PA Today Sports cornerback rank of #2 in my class, and 2024 Century Football Conference First Team Defense All-Conference. I currently hold five Division I offers. Additionally, I competed in the invitation-only Under Armour Next Camp and have been invited to attend the NXGN Camp later this year. Equally important to me is my performance in the classroom, where I maintain a 3.4 GPA and plan to pursue a degree in computer science. My immediate goals are to continue establishing myself as a highly ranked cornerback, to be the kind of player my coaches and teammates can depend on, and to shut down the deep ball. Long term, I am committed to playing college football while earning my degree, building a reputation for strong character and work ethic, and making both myself and my family proud. My ultimate dream is to make it to the NFL.
