How do you get the nickname Rocket? For Raheim Sanders, it happened when he was five or six years old playing youth football. A coach gave him the nickname after he scored a touchdown on an outside run. The nickname has stuck as Sanders has grown to be a 6-foot-2, 227-pound powerful SEC running back. As a true freshman in 2021, Sanders earned All-SEC freshman team honors and averaged over five yards per rush. Sanders was a three-sport athlete at Rockledge (Fla.) High playing football, basketball and track and field. He played running back, wide receiver and linebacker for Rockledge High.
