2027 4-star center Cherif Millogo nearly notches triple-double for St. Francis (Calif.)

La Canada Flintridge (Calif.) St. Francis head boys basketball coach Todd Wolfson couldn’t believe that 7-foot-3 center Cherif Millogo wanted to come and play for the Golden Knights.
“I thought he was lying,” Wolfson said in a release via the school’s website.
But no, Millogo landed in St. Francis’ lap this summer. After impressing on circuits, Millogo is suiting up for the Golden State program and the 2025-26 high school season is now underway. The Golden Knights are beginning their season in the Cantwell Sacred Heart of Mary Tournament.
On Wednesday night, St. Francis got off to a 1-0 start with an 89-44 win over Arleta. Millogo led the way with a dominant 30-point, 10-rebound, seven-assist performance.
Millogo, a Burkina Faso native, was previously at Cambridge ATS in Braintree, Mass., but did not play last season due to a torn ACL. He is now the No. 82 overall prospect and No. 8 center in the 2027 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies.
“For my skill now, I’m trying to take more shots and play a lot of defense,” Millogo told KSR’s Jacob Polacheck this summer. “My favorite player is Kevin Durant…I started to play basketball because of him. I see him play and I just love basketball now … I’m trying to play more inside, outside, everything.”

Last season, the Golden Knights won 13 of their first 17 games but finished with a 16-13 record. Millogo will be a notable force in the paint and will be one of the top big men in the Golden State, regardless of class.
St. Francis has a busy start to its season and will now play Cantwell Sacred Heart of Mary on Thursday night, then round out the tournament against Bishop Montgomery on Friday. It then takes on Orange Lutheran at the UCLA Pauley Pavilion on Saturday before its home-opener on Wednesday, Nov. 26 against Arcadia.
