The top-ranked recruit in the state of Alabama this cycle is set to stay in-state and head to Tuscaloosa. Alexander City (Ala.) Benjamin Russell five-star wide receiver Cederian Morgan has been committed to Alabama since July 2.

He’s been putting together an excellent senior season, and on Thursday night, he balled out on senior night in a 45-13 win over Percy L. Julian.

The 6-foot-4, 220-pounder hauled in eight receptions and turned it into 111 yards and two touchdowns as the Wildcats finished the regular season 9-1:

While Morgan’s full stats are not readily available, it doesn’t take much searching to figure out that he’s been tough for opposing defensive backs to cover. He’s helping lead the way as Benjamin Russell now gears up to make a run in the Alabama 6A playoffs.

The Wildcats entered this week as the No. 23 team in the state, according to the Massey Ratings. After dropping their season-opener to Opelika, they rattled off nine wins in a row, averaging over 41 points per game.

Their biggest win of the season came on Sept. 19 when they outlasted No. 22 Spain Park in a 35-34 win. That’s the lone ranked win of the year under their belt.

Morgan is the No. 24 overall prospect and No. 3 wide receiver in the 2026 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies. He’s one of four five-stars pledged to the Crimson Tide, headlining a class that ranks No. 7 in the Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Earlier this month, Morgan “shut down” his recruitment. That came after he popped up in Boulder to visit Colorado for a game. Deion Sanders and the Buffaloes were in the mix for his commitment this summer, as was Auburn, Florida and Georgia.

“This is the place where I need to be,” Morgan previously told BOL last month. “I am just ready to get there and go to work. I don’t see anywhere else I’d want to be.”
