Alabama High School Football: Carver-Saraland game canceled

Montgomery Carver, the No. 11 ranked team in the state of Alabama, made an official announcement via social media on Tuesday afternoon that in conjunction with No. 4 Saraland, would be canceling their Oct. 30, Thursday night matchup due to scheduling conflicts.

Here is the official statement by Carver’s football page via social media:

“Carver High School has made the decision to cancel the scheduled football game against Saraland High School on October 30, 2025, due to scheduling adjustments. It is important to note that this decision was not made unilaterally. Prior to game week, Carver’s athletic department engaged in multiple professional and transparent discussions with Saraland’s athletic department. After these conversations, both schools mutually agreed that cancellation was in the best interest of their respective programs.
Carver High School acted out of professional courtesy and consideration for Saraland’s program, ensuring that the decision was communicated clearly and respectfully in advance. While recent public statements have not reflected the spirit of those private discussions, Carver High School stands firmly on the integrity of its actions and the professionalism shown throughout the process. We sincerely appreciate the cooperation and understanding of all parties regarding this matter. Carver High School remains committed to upholding the highest standards of sportsmanship, prioritizing the well-being of our student-athletes, and concluding the season with excellence. We look forward to future opportunities for competition conducted with mutual respect and transparency.“

The Wolverines are currently 5-3 on the Alabama high school football season, but are in the midst of a two-game losing streak with losses to Phenix City Central and Auburn, respectively.

The Spartans due to the game cancelation against Montgomery Carver, Saraland’s last game will be versus Theodore this week.
