Arkansas High School Football Rankings: Top 25 Teams - Nov. 24
The Arkansas high school football high school football postseason heads into its second week as the picture becomes a little bit more clear on who will be competing for a AAA state championship.
The Bryant Hornets remain firmly entrenched in the top spot of the latest Top 25 rankings as there was no change when it came to the Top 5 teams. Besides the undefeated Hornets, who else makes the cut for the Top 25 high school football teams list out of Arkansas?
From Arkansas high school football’s established powers to emerging programs, here are the top 25 teams in the Natural State, according to Massey.
The Massey Ratings, officially used during the BCS era, is a model that ranks sports teams by analyzing game outcomes, strength of schedule, and margin of victory as of Nov. 24.
1. Bryant Hornets
Bryant (11-0) showed why they’re the top team in these rankings when they cruised to a 42-0 rout of No. 7 Fayetteville in the quarterfinals.
The Hornets next challenge on the field is for the Arkansas Activities Association (AAA) Class 7A playoffs is this Friday in the state semifinals when they take on No. 4 ranked Rogers. The game will determine who reaches Arkansas’ Class 7A state championship game.
All the question marks on offense have been checked off as the Hornets have begun a new era behind center with Kyler Shelby, who saw limited game action in 2024 as a sophomore last season while playing behind Jordan Walker.
2. Bentonville Tigers
Bentonville (11-0) has had the look of one of Arkansas high school football’s best teams as they’ve been playing like the state’s top ball club and that was evident in last week’s 41-16 win over a solid Springdale group.
The 5-time state champion Tigers are coming off a 9-4 2024 campaign and needing to replace plenty of starters on both sides of the ball. Bentonville is armed with a pair of Arkansas commitments in four-star wide receiver Dequane Prevo and three-star Blair Irvin.
The Tigers now looks to book their ticket to the Class 7A state championship when they take on No. 5 Conway on Friday night.
3. Greenwood Bulldogs
Greenwood Bulldogs (11-0) having the state’s best quarterback in Kane Archer certainly helps and the Bulldogs boasting the recent Utah commit behind center makes them dangerous every Friday night on offense.
Archer has made the argument to being the state’s Most Valuable Player as the senior signal caller, with the future Knight completing 242 of 321 passes for 2,959 yards and 26 touchdowns. Archer’s go-to-wide receiver has been senior Cooper Bland, who has caught 50 passes for 728 yards and nine touchdowns.
The Bulldogs began their Class 6A state title quest last week against Jonesboro, coming away with a 59-21 victory. This week Greenwood takes on No. 7 ranked Benton with a chance to make the 6A state championship game.
4. Rogers Mountaineers
The Rogers Mountaineers (10-1) closed out the regular season strong with wins over Har-Ber (42-19) and Rogers Heritage (49-14).

When it comes to consistency, the Mountaineers have shown that down the stretch of the regular season and it has continued into the playoffs after an impressive 35-0 win over Little Rock Christian Academy last week. This Friday night the Mountaineers will have their hands full with top-ranked Bryant in the Class 7A state semifinals.
The Mountaineers’ defense has been solid all season long behind the play of BYU commitment Braxton Lindsey, who leads a defensive unit that’s only yielded.
5. Conway Wampus Cats
Conway (9-2) bounced back after dropping just their second game of the Arkansas high school football campaign when they fell to top-ranked Bryant in the regular season finale with a wild 55-44 win over Bentonville West las week.
The Wampus Cats feature a couple of the state’s top players in three-star safety Tay Lockett (Arkansas commit) and interior offensive lineman Isaiah Bowman (Arkansas State commit). Lockett is already making an impact on both sides of the ball as Conway has become a viable state title contender.
Now Conway will look to win another offensive shootout when they face off against No. 2 ranked Bentonville in the Class 7A state semis.
