Arkansas high school football team wins $1-million stadium remodel
Come 2026 Arkansas high school football season, Dierks High School will be playing in a newly remodeled football stadium.
The Outlaws were named the grand prize winners of the T-Mobile Friday Night 5G Lights competition for a $1-million stadium remodel. Dierks was among 25 schools that were competing for the right to win a stadium transformation.
“I really think this started back in July,” Dierks Schools superintendent Grover Hill said via a AMP report. “One of our booster club members saw an ad or something, I’m not for sure. She listened to it and thought ‘man, that would be a dream, but it would never happen.’ The booster club talked about it and said ‘we’ve got nothing to lose.’”
What will be included in the grand prize winnings besides the stadium transformation is a renovated weight room from Gronk Fitness, all-expenses-paid trip for school officials to the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta and a tailgate party for when the stadium renovations are completed.

“Man, it’s been so long ago,” Hill said of the last time renovations had been done via the report. “20 or 30 years. If you were here in 2000, it’s just like it is today. There’s just not been a whole lot of work done on it. The field itself has had very little work. One end of it is somewhat lower than the other end. We don’t have an abundance of money. Our people are just common, working people. We don’t have money to spend on extras.”
Dierks is currently 4-4 on the season and the Outlaws are coming off a 47-46 win over Foreman last week. This week, Dierks takes on Mineral Springs and closes out the 2025 season next week against Gurdon.
