The Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) 2025 football state championship finals just concluded over the past weekend at Pitbull Stadium, with attendance numbers seeing a drop in comparison to last year’s first set of games down at Florida International’s home venue.

The FHSAA provided Rivals with the final tally for attendance numbers over the last four days, with a couple games drawing well and the others not so much compared to a year ago. The Class 7A tilt between Vero Beach and Lake Mary saw a major increase compared to last season’s Venice-Lake Meeting, with over 2,000 more fans attending the state’s highest classification title game.

Difference between last year’s set of FHSAA 1A-7A compared this the last four days of state championship games is a gap of 5,847 less spectators in attendance. This season drew 21,584 fans (1A-7A totals) compared to last year’s 27,431 total between 1A-7A.

For comparison to some other state championship series around the country, the Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) Prep Classic’s Division I Select championship game at the Caesars Superdome between Edna Karr and St. Augustine drew 34,500 fans.

Of the seven FHSAA championship games from Dec. 10-13, for the second straight year in a row the Class 3A title matchup between Miami Northwestern-Raines, which had an attendance of 8,230 fans, led the way. Pitbull Stadium in Miami has a seating capacity of 20,000.
