Cam Newton, Kirby Smart headline Georgia High School Football Hall of Fame Class of 2025

The College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta will be littered with Peach State legends this weekend for the 2025 Georgia High School Football Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
This year’s class will feature 33 inductees. Headliners include former Auburn superstar and Heisman Trophy winner Cam Newton, Georgia football head coach Kirby Smart, former South Carolina and NFL standout Sterling Sharpe, as well as former Georgia and NFL running back Isaiah Crowell.
The GHSFHF website writes: “The Georgia High School Football Hall of Fame revealed its Class of 2025—following a series of meetings and board votes that narrowed down the 100-player ballot of nominees. A total of 33 individuals were selected to enter the hall this October, featuring some of the biggest ambassadors of football such as Kirby Smart and Cam Newton, in what will mark the fourth class of inductees since the inaugural group in 2022.”
Before Smart became an A-list college football head coach, he was a star at Bainbridge, playing under his father, Sonny. He then went on to impress at Georgia, earning All-SEC honors as a senior. He turned to coaching in 1999 and the rest is history. Smart and Crowell are among the many UGA products getting inducted.

Newton won a state title as a junior for Westlake while become a five-star prospect in the process. He of course originally signed with Florida, but made his way to The Plains and won a national title and Heisman at Auburn before carving out an 11-year NFL career.
