Class of 2027 OT Zahavan George transfers from Diman (MA) to Cheshire Academy (CT)

Offensive lineman Zahavan George will become a mainstay of Connecticut high school football as he transfers to Cheshire Academy. Barring another transfer, he could play up to two years for the Cats and face some of New England’s top players as he reclassifies to the Class of 2027.
As the Herald News’ Steven Sanchez wrote, George previously played for Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School. Protecting quarterback Sam Perry’s blind side allowed the Bengals to finish the 2024 Massachusetts high school football season with an 8-3 record. Likewise, Perry’s comfort led him to finish with over 4,500 passing yards and 43 touchdowns in two seasons.
Meanwhile, George posted on X/Twitter, “Thank you to everyone that has supported me throughout my football journey so far! Expect to see great things next season!”

This time, Zahavan George will play for Cheshire, a team with a 5-4 record last year. While the Cats started the season at 2-3, they finished their campaign with three victories in four games. This time, George will protect four-star prospect Keegan Croucher, a quarterback with offers from Indiana, Michigan, Miami, Syracuse, Indiana, Ole Miss, and Nebraska, among others.
While George will move on, Diman head coach Luke Bahry has nothing but kind words for George. Bahry applauds George’s humility, work ethic, and devotion to improvement as his strongest traits. As Bahry accompanied him on college visits, George constantly asked the library’s working hours.
