It was a season to forget for Webb School of Knoxville. The Spartans finished with a 1-9 season this fall, allowing an average of 47.2 points per game.

They were able to score their fair share of touchdowns throughout the year, though. The biggest reason why was senior two-way star Shavar Young.

The 5-foot-11, 175-pounder posted his stats on Tuesday, showcasing his ability on both sides of the ball. Young racked up 2,169 total yards, rushing for 1,087 and receiving for 751. He also tallied 331 yards on kick returns, taking one to the house. In total, he scored 21 times. On the defensive side, he finished with 50 tackles, forced two fumbles and had a pick-six.

Young, a Clemson commit, is set to play in the secondary at the next level. He’s currently the No. 505 overall prospect, No. 47 cornerback and No. 16 player in Tennessee in the 2026 cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all major recruiting media companies.

He’s been committed to Clemson for over 15 months now. Young chose Dabo Swinney and the Tigers last August and has remained locked in since. He’s one of four defensive backs committed to the ACC program this cycle.

Other schools have continued to pursue Young as Clemson maneuvers another subpar season, but the corner hasn’t wavered.

“I love football,” Young told Rivals’ Adam Gorney last month. “You can see my toughness on my film. I know the season is not going the way everybody thought it would go but I do feel like the program will bounce back. I’m ready to play college football.”

“It is always that family feeling up there at Clemson for me,” he told Rivals’ Chad Simmons upon committing last summer. “There is something at Clemson that just fits me. It reminds me of my high school. It is a big family there. Coach Dabo Swinney and the Clemson coaches care for their players. They look out for their players, they set you up for the future and Clemson is what I am looking for in a school.”
