One of the most looked forward to events after winning a state championship in any high school sport is receiving of the ultimate prize: Title rings. For the 7-time state champion Cocoa Tigers (Florida), that moment happened on Thursday at team workouts, according to the team’s offensive coordinator Adam Franco.

Cocoa revealed via social media its championship rings, with the caption ‘3Peat Accomplished again #TigersPride #4PeatLoading’.

The Tigers defeated Gadsden County for the Florida High School Athletic Association’s (FHSAA) Class 2A state championship back in December, capping what was a 3-peat for the Space Coast region team. Now the program is setting their sights on making a run at a fourth straight championship this upcoming 2025 campaign.

Cocoa has won three straight titles starting in 2022 behind southpaw Blake Boda, who was at the University of Arkansas but entered the Transfer Portal back in late April.

Following Boda’s act flawlessly the following two seasons was Texas A&M signee Brady Hart, who led the Tigers to two consecutive state title runs paired with Florida State signee Jayvan Boggs. Hart between 2023 and 2024 threw for a total of 8,119 yards and 81 touchdowns.

Now the Tigers look ahead to the 2025 season and have already found who will be their next in line when it comes to talented signal callers.

Last week, 2027 3-star quarterback Champ Smith confirmed that he has transferred from Spanish River High School to the 7-time state champion Tigers. Smith in 2024 saw limited action for the Sharks in four games, completing 29-of-44 passes for 618 yards, eight touchdowns and just one interception.

The signal caller made a name for himself in the 2023 season for Jupiter Christian, with Smith completing 141-of-233 passes for 1,974 yards and 20 scores. Also saw significant playing time as a eighth grader when he was with the Warriors, completing 82-of-139 passes for 1,273 yards and 18 scores in 2022.
