While there are some changes in the order, the same Colorado high school football teams from last week’s list are included in the latest top 25 edition. Here’s how Massey ranked the state’s best squads.

The Massey Ratings system, officially used during the BCS era, is a model that ranks sports teams by analyzing game outcomes, strength of schedule, and margin of victory.

1. Cherry Creek Bruins

The Bruins remained perfect throughout the 2025 Colorado high school football season after blanking Fountain-fort Carson in the Class 5A state playoffs. Brady Vodicka threw for 260 yards and four touchdowns. Cherry Creek will face Fairview in the next round on November 21.

2. Mountain Vista Golden Eagles

After earning a first-round bye, the Golden Eagles advanced in the playoffs after a 14-0 victory over Eaglecrest. Marquise Reese and Luke Bentley connected on a touchdown pass, while Brody Callister added a rushing TD. Mountain Vista will face Arvada West in the next round of the Class 5A playoffs on November 22.

3. Ralston Valley Mustangs

The Mustangs started the Colorado high school football Class 5A playoffs with a 35-12 victory against Columbine. Zeke Andrews had passing and rushing touchdowns, while Levi Rillos added 70 rushing yards and two TDs. Ralston Valley advances to the next round and will play Mullen on the 22nd.

4. Valor Christian Eagles

The Eagles started the Class 5A playoffs with a dominating 70-28 victory over Erie. Titus Huard threw for 309 yards and three touchdowns, while adding two rushing scores. Chase Hanosh rushed for 167 yards and a TD, while Caleb Randolph and Channing Fox each had a rushing score. Cash Spence (130 receiving yards, two TDs) and Jackson Coleman (144 yards, two touchdowns) led the aerial attack. Valor Christian will face Legend on the 22nd.

5. Legend Titans

The Titans kept their season alive after a 42-28 victory over Fort Collins. Brooks Goossen led the Legend offense with 365 passing yards and four touchdowns, while Ryken Banks had 253 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Freddie Burke added 222 receiving yards, a TD, and an interception. Legend will have a Colorado high school football Class 5A showdown against Valor Christian on November 22.
