Colorado High School Football Rankings: Top 25 Teams - Oct. 14

The high school football season continued in Colorado last week, as many of the top programs in the Centennial State were in action. Plenty of interesting results followed.

Another jam-packed slate is on deck as teams continue their quests for a state title. Below are the top 25 Colorado high school football teams, according to the Massey Ratings, as of Oct. 14.

1. Cherry Creek Bruins

The best team in Colorado high school football is still perfect through seven games. They defeated Arapahoe, 56-0, their third shutout victory this season. Save for their victory against Cardinal Mooney, all their victories have been blowouts. Cherry Creek can go to 8-0 with a victory over Eaglecrest on October 16.

2. Mountain Vista Golden Eagles

In addition to staying undefeated, the Golden Eagles completed their second shutout victory this season. In their 40-0 victory over ThunderRidge, Marquise Reese finished with 154 passing yards, 45 rushing yards, and two touchdowns. Brody Callister had 90 rushing yards and a touchdown, while Brooklyn Bailey added 96 receiving yards and two TDs. Mountain Vista will host Fruita Monument on October 16.

3. Ralston Valley Mustangs

The Mustangs improved to 7-0 following their 47-7 victory against Denver South. Zeke Andrews completed 201 passing yards, 30 rushing yards, and four touchdowns (three passing). Nico Benallo added 92 receiving yards, 15 rushing yards, and two touchdowns. Ralston Valley can get to 8-0 if they can defeat Columbine on October 16.

4. Legend Titans

The Titans extended their winning streak to three games after defeating Chaparral 50-7. DJ Bordeaux had an all-around-game, tallying 169 passing yards, 42 rushing yards, and four touchdowns. Ryken Banks had 83 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while Kellen Marchand added 85 receiving yards and one TD. Legend will continue their 2025 Colorado high school football schedule against Fountain-Fort Carson on October 16.

5. Valor Christian Eagles

After suffering a two-game losing streak, the Eagles bounced back by earning their first shutout victory this season. In their 56-0 victory over Castle View, Titus Huard had 295 passing yards and a touchdown, while Chase Hanosh finished with 126 rushing yards and two scores. Cash Spence completed 180 receiving yards and a TD. On defense, Valor Christian registered seven tackles for losses (including two sacks) and two interceptions. The Eagles will return to action against ThunderRidge on October 17.

6. Arvada West Wildcats

The Wildcats are at 7-0 after edging Columbine 20-17. Logan Duhachek threw for two touchdowns, while Keegen Balistreri added 100 receiving yards and a passing TD. Arvada West will host Denver East on the 17th.

7. Dakota Ridge Eagles

The Eagles improved to 7-0 after dominating Heritage 49-21. Kellen Behrendsen made 210 passing yards and two touchdowns, while Landon Kalsbeck added 66 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Meanwhile, the Dakota Ridge defense registered three interceptions and a sack. The Eagles will continue the 2025 Colorado high school football season with an October 16 home game against Highlands Ranch.

8. Palmer Ridge Bears

The Bears have seven victories in as many games. In their 21-7 win over Durango, Cole Harris and Kash Bradshaw each had a passing touchdown, while Jackson Mabe finished with 141 rushing yards and a TD. The Palmer Ridge defense completed two sacks and two interceptions. The Bears will visit Vista Ridge on October 17. 

9. Montrose Red Hawks

The Red Hawks have dominated their opposition throughout this season. In their seventh consecutive victory, Montrose disposed of Doherty 55-6. It’s the fifth game in which they limited their opponent to eight points or less. They can improve to 8-0 by defeating Mesa Ridge on the 17th.

10. Fairview Knights

The Knights are on a five-game winning streak after a 60-29 victory over Fort Collins. Ki Ellison registered 354 passing yards and five touchdowns. His big game helped Sabi Ruttgers (140 receiving yards, one touchdown) and Toray Davis (236 yards, four TDs) dominate the Lambkins defense. Likewise, the Fairview defense completed four sacks and an interception. The Knights will continue the 2025 Colorado high school football season against Brighton on the 17th.
