Colorado High School Football Top 25 Rankings - Oct. 7

The high school football season continued in Colorado last week, as many of the top programs in the Centennial State were in action. Plenty of interesting results followed.
Another jam-packed slate is on deck as teams continue their quests for a state title. Below are the top 25 Colorado high school football teams, according to the Massey Ratings, as of Oct. 7.
1. Cherry Creek Bruins
Save for their 24-21 win against Cardinal Mooney, the Bruins haven’t been challenged early in the 2025 Colorado high school football season. In their 49-12 victory over Cherokee Trail, Brady Vodicka threw for 270 passing yards and five touchdowns. Maxwell Lovett had 144 passing yards and a touchdown, while Elijah Cromwell added a rushing TD. Next for Cherry Creek is an October 9 road game against Arapahoe.
2. Mountain Vista Golden Eagles
The Golden Eagles edged Valor Christian, 38-36, to move up to number two in the state rankings. Marquise Reese excelled with 420 passing yards and four touchdowns. Brooklyn Bailey caught nine passes for 248 yards and a touchdown, while Hudson Modrzewski added a rushing TD. Mountain Vista can improve to 7-0 with a win against ThunderRidge on October 10.
3. Ralston Valley Mustangs
The Mustangs improved to 6-0 after a dominant victory against Chatfield. Zeke Andrews tallied 257 passing yards, 15 rushing yards, and five touchdowns (three passing). Andrews’ impressive game benefited wideouts Ethan Shirazi (111 yards, one touchdown) and Levi Rillos (103 yards, one TD). Shirazi also got an interception on defense, while the entire unit had five tackles for loss and two sacks. Ralston Valley will travel to face Denver South on October 9.
4. Legend Titans

Ryken Banks finished with 84 rushing yards, 15 receiving yards, and three touchdowns (two receiving). Ryan Iglesias had 87 receiving yards and a couple of scores, while Carson Mayes and Owen Armstrong also scored TDs. Legend’s 2025 Colorado high school football season continues with a game against Chaparral on the 10th.
5. Valor Christian Eagles
While the Eagles are on a two-game losing streak, they fought to the end against Mountain Vista. Likewise, shutting down the Golden Eagles in the fourth quarter is a consolation achievement. Valor Christian can end their skid by defeating Castle View on the 10th.
6. Arvada West Wildcats
After two close games, the Wildcats have pulled off consecutive blowout victories. In their 45-7 road win versus Denver South, Logan Duhachek threw for 253 yards and five touchdowns, while Keegen Balistreri had 103 receiving yards and a couple of scores. Noah Meurer also had two TDs, while Tyriek Cullum led the ground attack with 70 yards and a touchdown. Arvada West can go to 7-0 by beating Columbine on the 9th.
