Colorado High School Football Top 25 Rankings - Sept. 10

The high school football season kicked off in Colorado last week, and many of the top programs in the Mountain State were in action. Plenty of interesting results followed.
Another jam-packed slate is on deck as teams continue their quests for a state title. Below are the top 25 Colorado high school football teams, according to the Massey Ratings, as of Sept. 10.
1. Cherry Creek Bruins
The reigning Colorado high school football Class 5A state champions maintained their perfect start to the 2025 season after a 42-0 shutout victory against Nebraska’s Millard North. Quarterback Brady Vodicka had a great game, finishing with 210 passing yards and five touchdowns. Meanwhile, Alijah Landrum-Hamilton had three catches for 116 yards and two touchdowns, while Jayden Fox tallied 72 rushing yards and a score. Cherry Creek can go to 4-0 with a victory against Utah’s Skyridge on September 12.
2. Valor Christian Eagles
The Eagles have started their season with three consecutive wins by an average margin of 25.3 points. Likewise, their 49-21 victory over Faith Lutheran gives Valor Christian nine wins in their last ten games. The Class 5A state runner-up will proceed to their September 19 home game against Mullen.
3. Mountain Vista Golden Eagles
The Golden Eagles are at 3-0 after a dominant 48-13 win over Erie. The Tigers had no answers for quarterback Marquise Reese, who finished with 212 passing yards, 97 rushing yards, and six touchdowns (five passing). Brooklyn Bailey caught four of Reese’s touchdown passes for 152 yards. Mountain Vista can continue its undefeated run against Cherokee Trail on September 11.
4. Legend Titans
The Titans remain perfect after a shutout victory against Columbine. DJ Bordeaux had 15 completions for 284 yards and three touchdowns, while Ryken Banks finished with 145 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Wideouts Ryan Iglesias, Freddie Burke, and Kellen Marchand combined for 231 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Legend can earn its fourth consecutive victory early in the 2025 Colorado high school football season against Arvada West on September 12.
5. Ralston Valley Mustangs
The Mustangs scored two victories in as many games after a 42-21 decision against Grandview. Zeke Andrews had a superb overall game, finishing with 230 passing yards, 64 rushing yards, and four total touchdowns (two passing). Ralston Valley can add another victory against Mullen on September 12.
6. Arapahoe Warriors
The Warriors broke into the win column with an impressive victory over Heritage. Theo Lee had 21 completions for 294 yards and three touchdowns, while Landon Drumm had ten catches for 169 yards and two touchdowns. Meanwhile, the Arapahoe defense generated six tackles for losses, two sacks, and two interceptions. The Warriors can string some victories if they can defeat ThunderRidge on September 12.
7. Pine Creek Eagles
The Eagles scored a victory over Cherokee Trail to go 1-1. Pine Creek pounded the Cougars with 417 rushing yards, led by Xavier Lukes (213 yards, one touchdown) and Caleb Petree (135 yards, three touchdowns). Meanwhile, the Eagles’ defense had two sacks and 17 tackles for losses. Pine Creek will continue their 2025 Colorado high school football season against Loveland on September 12.
8. Arvada West Wildcats
After a blowout victory against Mountain Range, the Wildcats followed it up with a one-point win against Fairview. Logan Duhachek threw two touchdown passes, both caught by Noah Meurer, who finished with 134 receiving yards. Meanwhile, Jaiden Green had 20 carries for 115 yards and two touchdowns. Arvada West’s defense had 6.5 tackles for losses and four sacks. The Wildcats continue their schedule with a game against Legend on September 12.

9. Palmer Ridge Bears
In the Bears’ 49-0 shutout victory over Doherty, Knox Tinlin and Cole Harris threw for two touchdowns each. Tinlin also scored one of Palmer Ridge’s three rushing touchdowns. Meanwhile, their defense limited the Spartans to 84 total yards on offense. The Bears can improve their 2-0 record with a win against Lewis-Palmer on September 12.
10. Montrose Red Hawks
The Red Hawks improved to 3-0 after a 37-20 victory over Palisade. Dating back to last season, they have won 16 of their last 17 games. Montrose can get their fourth win in the 2025 Colorado high school football season against Grand Junction Central on September 18.
