Corner Canyon high school football aiming for their third consecutive Utah state championship in 2025

The Corner Canyon Chargers finished the 2024-25 Utah high school football season with a 13-1 record. After a seven-point loss to Lone Peak, the Chargers went on an 11-game winning streak, capped off by defeating the same team for the Utah Class 6A state championship. It’s the Chargers second consecutive title and fifth overall, including their 2018 Class 5A crown.
Their achievements made Corner Canyon Utah’s number one and the nation’s eighth-best team based on the On3 Composite Rankings. This year, their mission is clear: defend their title. But to do so, they must go through their 2025 high school football schedule, which they shared on their official X/Twitter account.
The Chargers have ten regular season games, split evenly between home and away games. Their season starts with a home game against the Bingham Miners, Utah’s 16th-best team, on August 15. From there, Corner Canyon will face Florida’s West Broward in neutral territory on the 22nd.
Their season continues with another road game against Fremont, Utah’s No. 21 team, on August 29. Then, the Chargers will head back home versus Liberty, Arizona’s top-ranked high school football team.
Corner Canyon will have a September 12 home game against Brighton (Utah’s No. 9 team). A week later, the Chargers will have a high-profile showdown against Lone Peak, their rivals and Utah’s second-best team.

After what could turn out as an intense battle with the Knights, Corner Canyon will have another tough battle at home against Skyridge (Utah’s No. 3 team) on September 26. Finally, the Chargers will wrap up their 2024-25 high school football season with road games against Cedar Valley (October 3) and Utah No. 4 Lehi (October 15). Between those two games is their October 9 faceoff with American Fork, Utah’s 13th best team.

Winning these games would require excellent efforts from quarterback Helaman Casuga, wide receiver Kai Meza, and safety Diesel Dart (brother of former Ole Miss standout and New York Giants QB Jaxson Dart), among others.
