Final South Carolina High School Football Rankings 2025: Top 25 Teams - Dec. 8
The 2025 South Carolina high school football season draws to a close after the crowning of new and defending state champions. With all programs back to the drawing board this offseason, here’s how Massey ranked the best teams from the Palmetto State.
The Massey Rating system, officially used during the BCS era, is a model that ranks sports teams by analyzing game outcomes, strength of schedule, and margin of victory.
1. Northwestern Trojans
The Trojans dominated Irmo to capture the South Carolina high school football Class AAAAA Division 2 state championship 55-10. Northwestern’s 35-point second quarter dashed the Yellowjackets’ hopes. Quarterback Xavier Means was the game’s best player, tallying 186 passing yards, 60 rushing yards, and six touchdowns (four rushing, two passing).
Nigel Smith had 104 rushing yards, while David Flood contributed 90 receiving yards and a touchdown. Kameron Vance tallied 67 receiving yards and a TD. In addition to closing their schedule with a 13-1 record, the Trojans finished with an 11-game winning streak. However, in defending their title next year, they must do it without graduating players Vance (Lafayette), Joshua Singleton, and four-star linebacker Tamarion Watkins (Texas A&M).
2. South Pointe Stallions
The Stallions ended their season with a victory over South Florence in the Class AAAA state championship game. That win closed South Pointe’s record to 14-1, which included victories against top contenders Northwestern and AC Flora. After accomplishing their mission, four-star quarterback J’Zavien Currence (South Carolina), interior offensive lineman Anthony Baxter (South Carolina), and running back R.J. Brown will move on to college football.
3. Dutch Fork Foxes
The Foxes claimed their fourth consecutive championship after defeating Summerville in the South Carolina high school football Class AAAAA Division I state title game. From a 14-7 halftime lead, Dutch Fork pulled away in the second half via a 26-13 scoring surge.
Jaxon Knotts had an all-around game, finishing with 110 passing yards, 103 rushing yards, 10 receiving yards, and four touchdowns (three passing). Kye Fulton, Braydon Johnson, and Wyatt Warner each had a receiving TD. On defense, Kareem Dupree collected two interceptions, while Julian Walker added seven tackles, including three for negative yardage.
The Foxes completed the season at 12-1 and have an active nine-game winning streak. However, in defending their crown next year, Walker will already be playing for the University of South Carolina.

4. South Florence Bruins
The Bruins saw its 11-game winning streak snapped by South Pointe in the Class AAAA state championship game. South Florence scored a season-low 14 points and didn’t get into the scoreboard until the third quarter. They trimmed the deficit to 14, 28-14, but that’s all they could muster against the Stallions. The Bruins finished the season at 13-2, one win better than their 2024 record.
5. Irmo Yellowjackets
The Yellowjackets scored a season-low 13 points against Northwestern in the South Carolina high school football Class 5A Division 2 state championship game. Dre’von Dopson completed a touchdown pass to Ethan Singletary, while Maleek Miller added a rushing touchdown. Meanwhile, Amire White kept drives going with his 116 rushing yards.
