Former NFL'er announces abrupt departure from high school coaching duties

When it came to former Florida State and NFL running back Karlos Williams‘ roles he held as a coach at Florida’s Liberty County High School, he wore many different hats for the Bulldogs. On Tuesday, the former BCS national championship running back announced he is no longer coaching high school football or track at Liberty County.
According to a social media post on X Tuesday, Williams announced that he will no longer be the defensive coordinator, recruiting coordinator or head track & field coach at Liberty County. The Bulldogs are currently 2-2 on the season and are coming off a 43-27 win over Franklin County last week.
I’m very sad to say that, I am no longer the Defensive Coordinator, Recruiting Coordinator, and Head Track Coach at Liberty County High School in Bristol, FL @lcbulldogsfb. I’m beyond thankful for the opportunity to serve the student-athletes of that community. It truly was a blessing and a learning experience. Thank you, Coach Tranquille & Liberty County. During my time with Liberty County Schools not only did I have to opportunity to coach multiple sports, I served as a para professional at W.R. Tolar (K–8). Where I work primarily assisting in kindergarten, to subbing across all subjects and grades, P.E., & middle school track—every role gave me purpose.
Williams was apart of Florida State’s 2013 national championship team, playing alongside current NFL quarterback Jameis Winston. That season with the Seminoles, Williams rushed for 730 rushing yards, scoring 11 rushing touchdowns on 91 attempts.
