Four-star high school basketball prospect Cody Peck announced on his X/Twitter account that he will be playing his senior year in his home state of North Carolina.

He posted, “Excited to announce I’m returning home to Charlotte for my senior year and will be attending Davidson Day School! Can’t wait for what’s next.”

The 6-foot-9 forward played his junior season at Florida’s IMG Academy. He helped the Ascenders finish with a 20-8 record, earning victories against some elite squads like Oak Hill Academy, Dynamic Prep, and Montverde Academy.

Meanwhile, Rivals’ Jamie Shaw wrote on March 2024 that Cody Peck rose within the Class of 2026 rankings because of his natural athleticism and his ability to excellently play in both ends of the floor. With a 92.84 ranking, his transfer makes him North Carolina’s top prospect among incoming high school seniors and the nation’s tenth-best power forward.

Before playing for one of the nation’s top teams, Peck represented Carmel Christian High School in Matthews, North Carolina and averaged 6.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game. Now, he will represent a team that finished the 2024 season with a 22-13 record.

Cody Peck will be one of the Patriots’ leaders as he closes his high school basketball career on a high note. Meanwhile, while he has one year left, he’s already gaining attention from some prestigious college basketball programs.

As he posted, he received offers from Xavier, Virginia, Texas A&M, Florida, Florida State, Virginia Tech, Tennessee, North Carolina State, Alabama, St. John’s, Clemson, LSU, Dayton, Creighton, Wake Forest, SMU, Georgetown, UTSA, Appalachian State, Samford, Sam Houston, and Marshall, among others.
