Seven-foot center Ethan Taylor earned an invitation to the NBPA Top 100 high school basketball camp. Participating in this four-day camp in Rock Hill, South Carolina, includes him among the top college basketball prospects.

While he attempted to measure himself against his fellow prospects, he got the privilege of learning from Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer Hakeem Olajuwon. In a video shared on the SportsCenter Next account on X/Twitter, Taylor received some tips to improve his post-up game from the two-time NBA Champion. Olajuwon was in the NBPA Top 100 to support his son, Aziz Olajuwon.

In addition to his championships, Olajuwon is also a two-time Finals Most Valuable Player and the 1994 NBA MVP. Olajuwon is a 12-time NBA All-Star, a six-time All-NBA First Team member, and a two-time Defensive Player of the Year.

To highlight his defensive prowess, he led the league in rebounds two times and in blocks thrice. Olajuwon also ended his career as the NBA’s all-time blocks leader. He’s also a nine-time All-Defensive Team member (five First-Team). These accomplishments had him included in the NBA 50th and 75th Anniversary Team.

Meanwhile, Ethan Taylor transferred from Shawnee Mission Northwest to Link Academy for his senior high school basketball season. In three seasons with the Cougars, they finished with a cumulative record of 62-11, including an undefeated 25-0 sophomore season. Taylor is the top-ranked high school senior center and the 25th best prospect in the Class of 2026.

Taylor has a 96.17 On3 Industry Ranking and attracted offers from several college basketball programs. Ethan Taylor has offers from Missouri, Kansas, Baylor, Oregon, Purdue, Oklahoma, Iowa, Houston, Texas, Crieghton, Indiana, and Tennessee, among others.
