Four-star safety Adryan Cole transfers from Pace Academy to Douglas County

Incoming high school football junior Adryan Cole announced his transfer from Pace Academy to Douglas County via his X/Twitter account. With a 91.91 On3 Industry Ranking, the four-star athlete is the seventh-best safety in the Class of 2027.
Likewise, he’s the tenth-best prospect among Georgia high school juniors and 84th in the nation. Furthermore, Adryan Cole is the fourth-best junior safety from Georgia behind Kamarui Dorsey, Chance Gilbert, and Corey Hadley.
Adryan Cole will transfer from a team that went 4-6 last season to a squad that finished with an 11-3 mark. However, Douglas County lost to Grayson in the Georgia high school football Class 6A state semifinals. While their record is slightly lower than their 13-1 mark in 2023, the Tigers still finished seventh in the Georgia On3 Composite Team Rankings. As a consolation, the Tigers defeated some powerhouse teams like No. 6 Langston Hughes, No. 12 North Cobb, and No. 21 Mill Creek.

Cole’ s transfer comes at a perfect time because Douglas County will be bidding the likes of James Johnson, Jalen Brassell, and Karson Kindred farewell. Still, as talented as he is, getting playing time means competing with fellow defensive backs Dre Reading, Josiah White, and Faraji Tucker. Meanwhile, Timothy Lawson, Orlando Rawls, Marcus Fikes, Jaleel Baker, Jayden Jenkins, Jamar Owens, Devin Carter, Marley Thomas, Elijah Davis, and Jamarr Massey could give Cole a run for his money.
While Adryan Cole has two high school football years left, he’s already fielding offers from prestigious college football programs like Georgia, Alabama, Michigan, Auburn, Georgia Tech, and South Carolina, among others.
