We preview the fourth of seven GHSA state championships as teams continue to be crowned as champions of their classifications.

How to Watch Carrollton vs. Buford in Georgia 6A state championship game

Date: Tuesday, Dec. 16
Time: 8 p.m. ET
Location: Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga.
TV Channel: NFHS Network

Carrollton Players to Watch

WR Peyton Zachary: The UNLV commit has been the team’s top receiver statistically this season, putting some big numbers for the Trojans. Zachary has hauled in 83 passes for 1,064 yards and scored 12 touchdowns.

QB Christian Cypher: Cypher might be a freshman, but he certainly doesn’t play like one whatsoever. The signal caller in his first season for Carrollton has completed 144 of 201 passes for 2,178 yards and 26 touchdowns.

RB Cameron Wood: Wood is a throwback runner as the senior runs with power through would be tacklers on a weekly basis. The tailback has carried the rock 174 times for 1,473 yards and 33 touchdowns.

CB Tyler Boyd: Buford might want to look other ways when thinking twice about throwing towards the talented sophomore cornerback. Boyd has picked off three passes this season.

Buford Players to Watch

QB Dayton Raiola: In order for the Wolves to win this game, they will need Raiola playing at his best on Tuesday night. The senior quarterback has completed 136 of 217 passes for 2,064 yards and 26 touchdowns.

EDGE Dre Quinn: The Ohio State signee is a play Carrollton will need to keep tabs on and make sure they limit his quarterback pressures throughout the night. Quinn has tallied 86 tackles, 15 for loss and five sacks.

EDGE Bryce Perry-Wright: On the opposite side of Quinn is the Texas A&M signee as Perry-Wright has been an absolute menace for opposing offensive lineman. Perry-Wright has notched 100 tackles, 17 for loss and seven sacks. Paired with Quinn, the duo is Georgia high school football’s top EDGE rushing tandem.

RB Dylan McCoy: The North Carolina State signee will line up next to Raiola as one, if not the, top rushing threat out of the backfield against Carrollton’s stout front. McCoy has rushed for 950 yards and scored nine touchdowns.
