ATLANTA, Ga.- The Creekside Seminoles entered the night as the highest-scoring offense in Georgia High School Association (GHSA) history. Though it took them a minute in Monday night’s Class 4A state championship against Benedictine Military School, the Seminoles eventually showed folks why they’re one of the country’s most explosive offenses.

Creekside trailed 24-21 going into halftime, but exploded for 21 third quarter points en route to a 42-39 victory over Benedictine Military School at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

With the win, Creekside finishes the season scoring 845 points, which goes down as the GHSA’s most ever for points scored in a single season.

The Cadets held a brief 24-21 lead, but that would last for a little bit of the second quarter and halftime. After that, however, Creekside would take things up a notch or two, maybe even three.

Quarterback Cayden Benson and running back Ced Kelley both scored multiple touchdowns for the Seminoles as they began to break away from the Cadets in the second half. If the third quarter was the separation, the fourth was just putting the whip cream and cherry on top to their state championship win.
