Another big week of Georgia high school football has arrived as the playoffs loom, and there are some massive tilts on tap over the next few days.

Three matchups between state ranked teams highlight the slate, as well as a few potential trap games with opponents looking to pull off big upsets.

Below are the top games to keep an eye on in the Peach State this week and predictions for each from the On3 Massey Ratings:

The On3 Massey Ratings — which were officially used during the BCS era and have generated college high school sports team rankings since 1995 — rank sports teams by analyzing game outcomes, strength of schedule and margin of victory.

Marquee matchups to watch this week

#6 Thomas County Central @ Houston County
After dropping a tough one to No. 1 Lee County at the end of September — their only loss this season — Thomas County Central has outscored its last two opponents 123-10. They boast an offense and defense that rank among the top six in the state, per the On3 Massey Ratings. But the level of competition will ramp up in a big way this week with a Houston County squad that sits just outside the state’s top 25. And the Bears bring one of the Peach State’s best offenses to the table. Which unit gives way will go a long ways in determining this one.
On3 Massey Ratings Prediction: Thomas County Central 42, Houston County 23

#23 Norcross @ #7 North Gwinnett
Norcross rolls into this one 7-1, but hasn’t faced the most daunting schedule we’ve ever seen. Their lone game against a top-25 opponent was a loss to Mill Creek in August, but they’ve reeled off six straight wins since then. And they’ve done it behind an effective but not dominant offense. The Bulldogs, meanwhile, have been one of the state’s bigger surprises this season, jumping out to an 8-0 start. With early-season ranked wins against both Mill Creek and Colquitt County, they’ll come into this one with plenty of confidence about their ability to stay undefeated.
On3 Massey Ratings Prediction: North Gwinnett 34, Norcross 20

Richmond Hill @ #13 Lowndes
The Vikings are coming off a huge 33-7 win over a ranked Camden County squad, pushing them to 7-1 on the season. Their only loss came earlier this month to Colquitt County, and they do boast one of the state’s most prolific offenses through eight weeks. Richmond Hill been no slouch though, also starting the season 7-1 and handling No. 14 Valdosta 35-14 last weekend. They sit just outside the top-25 rankings this week but will be primed to make a big move if they can pull off the road upset.
On3 Massey Ratings Prediction: Lowndes 35, Richmond Hill 14

#22 Gainesville @ #16 Roswell
In a matchup of top-25 teams, this one will be a battle to watch between Roswell’s elite offense and Gainesville’s stout defensive unit. The Hornets have put up more than 40 points in six of their past seven games, including 122 combined in the last two. Gainesville has also had plenty of offensive firepower in its seven wins, but has struggled to stop the two ranked opponents it has faced — No. 2 Carrollton and No. 3 Milton. In what’s projected as a near toss-up, this one could come down to just a few plays.
On3 Massey Ratings Prediction: Roswell 34, Gainesville 28

#19 Colquitt County @ #25 Camden County
Colquitt County has faced one of the state’s toughest schedules this season, playing five ranked teams thus far with two more to go. The Packers’ offense has been among the best in the state when it’s rolling, but a few opponents have been able to slow them down in their losses. The Wildcats have struggled against ranked opponents themselves, dropping games to No. 14 Valdosta and No. 13 Lowndes, which came this past week. Their offense ranks in the top-15 in the state, but they’ll need their defense to step up in this one.
On3 Massey Ratings Prediction: Colquitt County 36, Camden County 28
