The Georgia high school football playoffs are in sight, with only a few weeks remaining in the regular season.

Teams across the Peach State are trying to make a late-season push and position themselves for a deep postseason run — and hopefully a berth in the state title weekend at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in mid-December. After a week that saw very little movement across the state rankings, here’s where the top 25 teams in Georgia stand:

1. Buford Wolves (7-0)

A week after claiming the No. 1 spot in the rankings from Grayson, the Wolves returned to action and dismantled Dacula 58-7. Senior quarterback Dayton Raiola threw for four touchdowns and ran for another, while backup quarterback DJ Hunter added two scores of his own in the rout.

2. Grayson Rams (8-0)

Since its one-point win over Thompson (Ala.) at the end of August, Grayson has dominated each of its opponents and is yet to give up more than 13 points in any of those games. They continued the trend on Friday, rocking Rockdale County 58-10 on the road. Now sitting at 8-0, the Rams are favored by five-plus touchdowns in each of their final two regular season games.

3. Carrollton Trojans (8-0)

Carrollton also remained undefeated, rolling to a 56-7 win over Chapel Hill. The Trojans led 42-0 at the half behind three touchdown passes and a perfect 9/9 first half from quarterback CJ Cypher. They also ran back a kickoff for a touchdown while getting a pair of touchdown scampers from star running back Cameron Wood. Carrollton faces East Coweta next week before a huge regular season finale against No. 11 Douglas County on October 31.

4. Thomas County Central Yellow Jackets (7-0)

The Yellow Jackets got a well-deserved bye week after starting the season 7-0. Now they’ll return to action on Friday against a Northside squad that has yet to win a game this year. But it won’t be all cupcakes the rest of the way. A big matchup with No. 17 Houston County, which also sits at 7-0, awaits in two weeks.

5. Creekside Seminoles (8-0)

In one of the most lopsided games around the state in recent memory, Creekside crushed Charles Drew 91-0 on Friday night. The Seminoles have completely outmatched their last five opponents, outscoring them by a combined score of 341-0. Two more games, both of which they’re projected to win by more than 40 points, stand in the way of a perfect regular season.
