Only one week remains before the end of the high school football season in Georgia, and teams are jockeying for position as the postseason looms. This week’s top 25 rankings saw little change, but two new teams entered the poll and two more correspondingly dropped out.

Buford still remains as the state’s No. 1 team, but there was some small shakeup in the top-5 after Thomas County Central’s big ranked victory.

Below are the full top 25 rankings in Georgia:

1. Buford Wolves (9-0)

Facing a Mountain View squad that had only one win on the season, the Wolves again rolled to a massive blowout victory. The Wolves scored on offense, defense and special teams all in the first half of the first quarter to jump out to a 20-0 lead. From there, they kept the foot on the gas en route to a 55-7 blowout win. Now they’ll look to close out the regular undefeated against rival Mill Creek this weekend.

2. Grayson Rams (9-0)

Much like Buford, the Rams got out to an early lead and cruised to their ninth victory of the season in a 42-3 rout of South Gwinnett. Now the only thing that stands in between Grayson and an unblemished regular season is Friday night’s game against 6-3 Archer. According to the Massey Ratings, the Rams are projected as 31-point favorites in that one.

3. Thomas County Central Yellow Jackets (9-0)

Playing its second ranked matchup of the season, Thomas County Central got off to a slow start against undefeated Houston County. Trailing 7-3 after the first quarter, they scored 28 unanswered points though, rolling to a 31-7 victory and claiming the 5A Region II championship in the process. They’ll travel to face Coffee on Friday night as they also look to close out a 10-0 regular season before the playoffs begin.

4. Carrollton Trojans (9-0)

Despite winning this weekend, Carrollton drops a spot in the rankings because of TCC’s big ranked win over Houston County. The Trojans, meanwhile, had the weekend off after beating East Coweta 50-23 last week. One of their biggest tests of the season is the finale on Friday, when they host No. 10 Douglas County.

5. Creekside Seminoles (9-0)

Nobody has been able to slow down — let alone stop — the Seminoles as they’ve rolled to a 9-0 start. The latest team standing in their way was 6-3 Maynard Jackson, but the Jaguars weren’t ultimately much of a match. Creekside jumped out to a 14-0 lead after the first quarter and rolled to a 44-7 win.
