Georgia high school football team reveals brand new $62 million stadium

The Buford Wolves finished the 2024 Georgia high school football season with a 12-2 record. While they ended the season with a loss to Carrollton in the Class 3A state semifinals, the team will receive a massive reward in the form of a new $62 million stadium.
Kurt Napier, the former Murray County High School head coach, shared a video of Buford’s stadium on his X (formerly Twitter) account. It took eight months to construct the entire facility, which includes a press box, luxury suites with 180-degree views, a massive two-way video board, and a concourse for their trophies. They also enhanced the football field, fitting for one of Georgia high school football’s top teams.
In addition to the main football stadium, Buford built a separate field for the junior varsity team and six additional practice fields. However, while the field is ready to use, the interior is still under construction and will be ready by fall.
Aside from their loss to Carrollton, Buford dropped their 2024 Georgia high school football opener to Milton. There’s no shame in that loss because it was only a three-point deficit, and Milton is the best public high school team in the nation. Milton is also the state’s top team after finishing the season with an undefeated 15-0 record.

However, after that loss to Milton, the Wolves went on a 12-game winning streak. Over that stretch, they outclassed some solid teams like Roswell, Douglas County, Collins Hill, and Mill Creek. Buford had two shutout victories (Discovery, Central Gwinnett) and limited eight opponents to single digits.
For the 2025 Georgia high school football season, Buford will face Milton, Benedictine, Roswell, Douglas County, Collins Hill, Dacula, and Mill Creek again. Leading the way for the Wolves are Bryce Perry-Wright, Tyriq Green, Graham Houston, Nascar McCoy, James Morrow, CJ Sibley, Dylan McCoy, and Dayton Raiola, among others.
