High school football: Top quarterback recruits having stellar senior seasons

With the high school football regular season nearly over, Rivals is breaking down how some of the nation’s top quarterback recruits have fared this season.
While a pair of five-stars — Dia Bell and Faizon Brandon — have missed nearly the entire year due to injury, there have been plenty of other standouts. Rivals’ No. 1 QB, Jared Curtis, returned from an injury of his own and has been lights-out. Meanwhile, a handful of others have stepped up to show just why they’re so coveted by the schools they’re committed to play for.
Check out the latest updated stats below:
5-star Jared Curtis – Georgia
High School: Nashville Christian (Tenn.)
Stats: 71/110 (65%), 1,005 yards, 14 TDs
23 CAR, 199 YDS, 4 TD
Despite missing some time due to injury, nobody has put more highlight-reel throws on tape this fall than Curtis. His cannon right arm has the Eagles sitting at 9-0 with eyes on a state title next month.
5-star Keisean Henderson – Houston
High School: Legacy School of Sports Sciences (Texas)
Stats: 177/227 (78%), 2,788 yards, 34 TDs
31 CAR, 404 YDS, 6 TD
You’ll be hard-pressed to find a senior with a better final season at the high school level this year than Henderson, who has been a one-man wrecking crew. Even so, Legacy SSS is just 4-4 on the season despite his best efforts.
4-star Ryder Lyons – BYU
High School: Folsom (Calif.)
Stats: 180/235 (77%), 2,468 yards, 24 TDs
Lyons has been nearly unstoppable during his final high school season, completing better than 75% of his attempts and leading Folsom to an 8-1 record and top-10 ranking in the Golden State.
4-star Helaman Casuga – Texas A&M
High School: Corner Canyon (Utah)
Stats: 141/217 (65%), 2,524 yards, 26 TDs
53 CAR, 390 YDS, 7 TDs
The future Aggies signal-caller has been electric through his team’s first nine games, throwing 26 touchdowns to just 6 interceptions — and adding seven more scores on the ground.
4-star Matt Ponatoski – Kentucky
High School: Moeller (Ohio)
Stats: 160/241 (66%), 1,914 yards, 24 TDs
Ponatoski has been shredding defenses this fall for Archbishop Moeller, one of Ohio’s premier programs. The Crusaders sit at 7-4, but after playing a brutally tough schedule, they’re still ranked as the No. 2 team in the Buckeye State.
4-star Jett Thomalla – Alabama
High School: Millard South (Neb.)
Stats: 117/1151 (78%), 2,064 yards, 39 TDs
Earlier this season, Thomalla set the Nebraska Class A career record for touchdown passes, and it’s only been better from there. Across his teams eight games, he has averaged better than 200 yards passing and nearly five touchdowns per game — leading Millard South to the state’s top ranking.
Other notable top quarterbacks in the 2026 class
4-star Bryson Beaver – Oregon
High School: Vista Murrieta (Calif.)
Stats: 151/237 (64%), 1,720 yards, 18 TDs
