Houston 5-star QB commit Keisean Henderson on fire to begin senior season at Legacy SSS (Texas)

This time last year, Legacy SSS (Texas) star Keisean Henderson was listed as an “athlete” prospect. The 6-foot-3, 185-pounder has been excelling as a quarterback at the high school level, though some questioned if he would translate under center in college.
Since then, Henderson balled out as a junior, impressed at the Elite 11 Finals and excelled on the camp circuit. Now a bonafide five-star QB in the 2026 cycle, the Houston commit has the attention of many.
Two games into his senior season, Henderson looks as good as ever. In a 53-49 loss to Port Arthur Memorial on Friday, Henderson did all he could to lead Legacy to a win.
Completing 30 of 38 pass attempts, Henderson threw for 537 yards and five touchdowns. He also rushed six times, piling on 116 yards and another score in an unreal performance.
Across two games, Henderson already has 12 touchdowns to his name. In Legacy’s season-opening win over Second Baptist last week, he tallied 423 yards and six scores. The future Cougars gunslinger is on pace for a historic season.
In two weeks, Legacy will take on Brother Martin, one of the top programs in Louisiana. The Titans will be the underdog, per the Massey Ratings.
Henderson is locked in with Houston
When Henderson committed to Houston last May, many began to wonder if he would stick with Willie Fritz and the hometown program. While others have since tried to sway, Henderson said this June that his recruitment is “shut down.”
